How often do I have to a cleanup of the mouth?

In general, most of our patients come twice a year to their maintenance visits. During these visits, a complete prophylaxis is performed and also the patient’s history is updated looking for possible recidivas or caries.

However, in accordance with the specific characteristics of each patient as would the developing certain general disease, smoking or have a high genetic susceptibility, this period could be reduced to a maximum of four visits per year, ie every 3 months.

Is there any age limit for orthodontics?

There is no age limit as long as the state of dental and gingival health allows us to perform the treatment. To make orthodontic treatment, the state of periodontal health should be excellent, therefore, often before starting orthodontic treatment is required a previous periodontal treatment. Moreover, the patient may not present any carious lesion, therefore, they should also be pretreated
